Is Cuba safe for travelers?
Yes. Cuba is widely considered one of the safest countries in the Caribbean. Violent crime is extremely rare, especially in tourist areas and high-end hotel zones.
Will we be in safe areas?
Yes. All activities, transportation, and accommodations will be in premium, secure locations vetted by our team and local partners.
Do I need special travel insurance?
Cuba requires all visitors to have medical travel insurance. Each attendee must obtain their own travel insurance independently.
2. Visa & Entry Requirements
Do I need a visa to enter Cuba?
Most travelers will need a Cuban Tourist Card, which is easy to obtain. We’ll provide simple step-by-step instructions based on your passport.Yes. Will you help with securing the visa?
Yes, we will guide every attendee through the process so it’s effortless.
What category should I choose when traveling from the U.S.?
Most high-end events fall under “Support for the Cuban People” which is widely used and accepted. We will provide the exact wording and instructions in your travel packet.
How long does it take to get the Tourist Card?
Usually 3–10 days depending on your airline or provider.
3. Flights & Transportation
Which airport should I fly into?
We’ll specify the airport based on the hotel location (likely Havana or Varadero).
Will someone pick me up at the airport?
Yes. Private transportation will be arranged for all attendees.
Are flights included?
No, flights are not included in the ticket price.
How long does it take to get the Tourist Card?

4. Accommodations
Where are we staying?
We’ll specify the airport based on the hotel location (likely Havana or Varadero).
Is the hotel all-inclusive?
No, but during the Flow event all of your food and beverage is included!
5. Food & Water
Is the water safe to drink?
We recommend drinking bottled water (provided throughout the stay). Restaurants and hotels use purified water for cooking. Tap water should not be consumed.
6. Internet & Connectivity
Is the Wi-Fi reliable?
Wi-Fi in Cuba is improving but not as strong as major cities. In high-end hotels it is typically stable enough for messaging, emails, and light work.
Should I expect full connectivity?
You may experience slower speeds. We recommend downloading key files beforehand.
7. Money & Payments
Can I use my credit cards in Cuba?
U.S. cards generally do not work, so we recommend bringing cash (USD or EUR).
Does the hotel accept payments onsite?
Yes, but again, U.S. cards may not be processed.
How much cash should I bring?
We’ll provide a recommended amount based on optional activities.
Are tips included?
Tips are not included in the ticket price.
8. Language & Cultural Notes
Do people speak English?
In high-end hotels and tourist areas, yes. Outside those zones, Spanish is common.
Is it easy to get around?
Your transportation is already handled, so no stress on navigating
9. Packing & Clothing
What’s the dress code?
Resort/business casual during the day.
Elevated attire for dinners or special events.
Anything specific I should bring?
– A portable charger, or outlet adapter (Cuba has a mix of American and European outlets)
– Medicine or personal items (pharmacies can be limited)
– Light, breathable clothing; swimsuit; sun protection
– A reusable water bottle
– Cash if cards may not work
